Regarding storage capacity: The way hard drive manufacturers and computer operating systems measure capacity differs, leading to variations in how it is displayed. Hard drives are produced using a metric system where 1G equals 1000M, which is 1000 times 1000K, and so on. In contrast, computer operating systems use a binary system, where 1G is defined as 1024M, or 1024 times 1024K, and so forth.

The real storage space is calculated by taking the labeled capacity of the hard drive, which is 1000G, and dividing it by 1.024 three times, resulting in approximately 931G. Therefore, a 320B hard drive shows a usable capacity of around 298G.
